In 2019, China's aluminum processing industry will forge ahead in a complex and ever-changing environment at home and abroad, making solid strides towards high-quality development in the new era. The China Nonferrous Metal processing Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the "processing Association") specially sorted out the major events worth remembering and drawing lessons from the industry in 2019.
The processing Association and Antaike jointly released statistics on China's aluminum production in 2018 and 2019. China's comprehensive aluminum output in 2018 was 39.7 million tons, an increase of 3.9% over the previous year, including 19.8 million tons of aluminum extruded materials, an increase of 1.5% over the previous year; 11.23 million tons of aluminum strip, an increase of 9% over the previous year; and 3.9 million tons of aluminum foil, an increase of 6.8% over the previous year. In 2019, the comprehensive output of China's aluminum products was 40.1 million tons, an increase of 1.0% over the previous year, including 20.08 million tons of aluminum extruded materials, an increase of 1.4% over the previous year; 11.36 million tons of aluminum strip, an increase of 1.2% over the previous year; and 4 million tons of aluminum foil, an increase of 2.6% over the previous year. Aluminum production continued to grow, but the growth rate decreased significantly, and the aluminum processing industry as a whole entered a period of low-speed growth.
Innovation: in 2019, Zhongtian Science and Technology and Shanghai Jiaotong University jointly completed the project "key Technologies and applications in the manufacture of High performance Aluminum Alloy overhead wires" which won the second prize of the 2018 National Technology Invention Award. Chinalco East Light won the approval certificate of an aluminum alloy pre-stretched plate project issued by Comac, which is listed in the C919 aircraft qualified product catalogue. The project "key Technology and Application of Clean and Fine grained 5N5 Ultra High Purity Aluminum" jointly declared by Zhonghe and Northeastern University in Xinjiang won the first prize in 2019 China Nonferrous Metals Science and Technology Award; Chinalco Dongqing, Guangdong Xingfa and Guangdong Hesheng won the 21st China Patent Award.
Intelligent manufacturing: on September 28th, 2019, Chinalco Sapa held the start-up meeting of 40MN high-end aluminum alloy intelligent manufacturing production line. The project, designed and manufactured by China heavy Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd., is Chinalco Sapa's response to made in China 2025 and Chongqing's call for high-quality economic development driven by big data and intelligent innovation, under the strong leadership of Chinalco Group, the positive exploration towards digitalization and intellectualization is also the concrete practice of implementing intelligent manufacturing strategy in China's aluminum processing industry.
After six stages of expert seminar, enterprise consultation meeting, preliminary examination, review, public announcement and announcement, it lasted more than 4 months. On December 18, the processing Association officially announced the list of the top ten enterprises of 2019 (the third session) of Chinese aluminum plate and strip. Shandong Nanshan, Chinalco Southwest Aluminum, YueFeng Aluminum Technology, Chinalco Ruimin, Chinalco East Light, Zhongfu High Precision Aluminum, Shandong Hongqiao, Tianjin Zhongwang, Luoyang Longding, Yongjie New Materials, Wanda Aluminum, Wanji Aluminum processing and other 12 enterprises were awarded the title of "2019 (third) Top Ten Enterprises of China Aluminum Strip".
On June 19, 2019, the processing Association commended advanced figures who had made important contributions to China's construction aluminum profile industry. Wu Xiaoyuan, chairman of Guangdong Fengaluminum, Wu Weiguang, chairman of Shandong Huajian Aluminum Industry, Luo Su, founder of Guangdong Xingfa Aluminum Industry, and Cao Zhanbin, Chairman of Guangdong Jianmei Aluminum Industry (sorted by last name strokes), were named as "outstanding contributors to China's construction aluminum profile industry". Kuang Zhengzhen, Li Xiang, Zhang Qinglong, Huang Changchang, Cao Guishui, Sui Laizhi, Dong Weifeng, Pan Weijin, Pan Weishen (sorted by last name strokes) were awarded the title of "China Construction Aluminum profile Industry Entrepreneur". The United States is the second largest destination country for China's aluminum exports. In 2018, China's aluminum exports totaled 5.21 million tons, and aluminum exports to the United States totaled 348000 tons, accounting for 6.7 percent of China's total aluminum exports. In 2019, China's aluminum exports totaled 5.15 million tons, down 1.1 percent from the previous year, and aluminum exports to the United States were only 231000 tons, down 33.7 percent from the previous year. In addition, in 2019, Vietnam, Argentina, India, Eurasian Economic Union, Ukraine, Mexico, Indonesia and other countries or regions have conducted anti-dumping investigations on China's exports of aluminum, aluminum products and aluminum-containing goods. The increase of international trade friction has increased the pressure and difficulty of China's aluminum export.

From June 19 to 20, the 2019 Annual General meeting of China Aluminum processing Industry and China (Zouping) Aluminum processing Industry Development Summit Forum was held in Zouping City, Shandong Province. In September 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the fourth batch of green factories, with four enterprises on the list, including Yingkou Zhongwang, Fujian Minfa Aluminum, Shandong Yuhang and Xinjiang New Aluminum. Up to now, a total of Guangdong Huachang aluminum industry, Guangdong Xingfa aluminum industry, Ruyuan Dongguang you Aixijie fine foil, Dongyang Guancheng foil, Yunnan aluminum, Xinjiang Zhonghe, Mingtai aluminum, Zhongduo aluminum magnesium new materials, Guangya aluminum, Luopsi gold aluminum, Dongliang aluminum, Wanji aluminum processing, Guangdong Weiye group, Guangdong Jianmei aluminum and other 18 aluminum processing enterprises won the title of "green factory".
In order to cooperate with the Ministry of Ecology and Environment in revising the National Hazardous waste list, the processing Association organized the industry to carry out third-party inspection of the sludge produced in the process of aluminum extruded material production, which is defined as hazardous waste in the process of cooking and surface treatment. A report on the application for removal or exemption of some aluminum processing solid wastes from the National Hazardous waste list was submitted to the solid waste and Chemical Management Technology Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. In addition, the aluminum extrusion enterprises represented by Guangdong Jianmei Aluminum Industry and Guangdong Xingfa Aluminum Industry have actively explored and tried the utilization of solid waste resources in the process of aluminum extrusion, and made important progress. The green development of the industry and the level of resource utilization of solid waste continue to improve.
On May 23, Sichuan Furong Science and Technology Co., Ltd. was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Founded in 2011, the company is a holding company of Fujian Nanping Aluminum Industry, and is a domestic R & D manufacturer of key aluminum components and precision deeply processed parts for consumer electronics products. Its products have been used in Samsung, Huawei, OPPO, VIVO and other mobile phones and Apple laptops.
On August 9, Nantong starfish Electronics Co., Ltd. was successfully listed. The company was founded in 1998, is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, development, production and sales of electrode foil, the products are widely used in various fields of aluminum electrolytic capacitors, its main customers are Japan Guimigong, Nijikang, South Korea Sanying, Aihua Group, Jianghai Co., Lilong Electronics and other top ten capacitor enterprises in the world.
According to preliminary statistics, the number of listed aluminum processing enterprises has reached 26, with the help of capital market forces to gradually achieve enterprise value-added, wealth value-added, asset value-added and brand value-added.
In February 2019, China Baowu Iron and Steel Group took a stake in Henan Tongren Aluminum Industry and renamed it Baowu Aluminum Industry. It plans to build an intensive and deep processing project with an annual production capacity of 600000 tons of aluminum alloy in 2020. The products mainly include aerospace, military and other civil high-precision and high-performance medium and heavy plates, automotive aluminum alloy plates and so on. Baowu Group is a Chinese iron and steel enterprise and auto body steel supplier, and the merger and acquisition will have a significant impact on China's auto body aluminum sheet market.
On July 10, the third China Aluminum foil Innovation Award in 2019, jointly sponsored by the processing Association and the Global Aluminum foil Manufacturers Initiative Organization, was announced. Kunshan Aluminum, Chinalco Henan Luoyang Aluminum foil, Jiangsu Dingsheng, Yunnan Haoxin, Wanji Aluminum processing, Chinalco Huaxi Aluminum foil, Luoyang Longding, Daya Aluminum, Northwest Aluminum foil, Ningbo era Aluminum foil, Qingdao Wheeler Commodity, Shanghai Siyuan Capacitor, etc., won 19 products and projects from 18 units, including technological innovation, product protection, resource efficiency, market and design, and convenience consumption.
On April 3, 2018, an explosion occurred in Yunhai Aluminum Industry, Shanxi Province, resulting in 3 deaths and 3 injuries; on August 28, 2018, an explosion occurred in Jiangyin Yize Aluminum Industry, resulting in five deaths and one injury; on April 8, 2019, a fire broke out in the corrosion foil workshop in Zhonghe, Xinjiang, but fortunately no one was injured; on October 31, 2019, an explosion occurred in Changshu Kailong Aluminum Industry, resulting in 4 deaths and 2 injuries. Many accidents warn enterprises to firmly establish the management and development concept of "safety first", further standardize the safety production behavior of enterprises, and prevent production safety accidents.
