The United States International Trade Commission made the first double reverse sunset review of aluminum foil industry damage final ruling

On September 8, 2023, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to make the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review of Aluminum Foil imported from China. Finding that if the existing anti-dumping and countervailing measures are removed, the material injury to the domestic industry caused by imports of the products in question is likely to continue or recur within a reasonably foreseeable period. According to the final ruling, the existing anti-dumping and countervailing measures in this case continue to be effective. In the ruling, all five ITC commissioners voted yes.
On March 28, 2017, the US Department of Commerce announced the launch of an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation into aluminum foil imported from China. On February 27, 2018, the US Department of Commerce announced a final affirmative anti-dumping and countervailing ruling on aluminum foil imported from China. On March 1, 2023, the U.S. Department of Commerce launched the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation of aluminum foil imported from China. On June 28, 2023, the US Department of Commerce made the first anti-subsidy rapid sunset review final ruling on aluminum foil imported from China. On June 30, 2023, the US Department of Commerce made the first anti-dumping rapid sunset review final ruling on aluminum foil imported from China.
