Yuefeng Swedish extrusion plant to switch to solar power generation project has started

According to Yuefeng's official website, Yuefeng's extrusion plant in Sweden has been equipped with solar panels and battery energy storage systems. As planned, the installation of rooftop solar panels and battery energy storage systems will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023, and the installation of ground solar panels will be completed in 2024.
In 2022, Yuefeng launched the Greener Sweden project, implemented in phases, with the goal of using 100% locally produced renewable energy in Sweden's extrusion plants, thereby reducing the plant's CO2 emissions to zero.
The first phase of the project, implemented by Yuefeng's renewable energy company Yuefeng New Energy, includes the installation of rooftop and ground solar panels and battery energy storage systems, specifically 2.2MWp rooftop solar power project, about 1.8MWp ground solar power project and two battery energy storage projects with a total capacity of 4.5MW. This will complement Yuefeng's existing hydropower plants in the local area.
The next phase of the project, to take place after 2025, could include wind power, hydrogen production and a shift from fossil fuels to renewable sources of production. Yuefeng is also interested in onshore wind, aiming to find suitable sites for its wind farms and ensure sufficient renewable electricity for Yuefeng's Swedish plants.
