Recently, Yuefeng Aluminum Materials Institute has successfully carried out carbon footprint research on 5xxx series and 6xxx series typical automotive plate products by establishing a life-cycle carbon footprint calculation model for automotive aluminum alloy sheets.
Yuefeng Aluminum Materials Institute actively responds to the national carbon peak carbon neutral strategic deployment, takes the initiative to respond to the market's carbon reduction needs, carries out the life cycle carbon footprint evaluation and research of automotive aluminum, and undertakes the project of "life cycle carbon footprint model and emission reduction path analysis of automotive aluminum products". This project takes the aluminum alloy sheet for automotive use by two companies of Yuefeng Aluminum Group as the research object, extensively cooperates with third-party research and evaluation institutions, adopts the internationally common product life cycle evaluation method, and conducts in-depth research on the carbon footprint of 5xxx series and 6xxx series typical automotive plate products, and has established the calculation model of the carbon footprint of automotive aluminum alloy sheet products in the whole life cycle. The system has found out the carbon footprint data of three typical automotive panel products of the two companies and the carbon emission contribution of each production process, and has the ability to provide detailed and reliable product carbon footprint reports for downstream customers.
In the next step, Yuefeng Aluminum Materials Institute will organically combine the product carbon footprint calculation model with the enterprise information system, develop application software, efficiently collect and analyze carbon emission data, provide professional analysis tools for enterprises, and help enterprises optimize low-carbon processes, reduce product carbon footprint, and improve product competitiveness.
