Jiangsu Yuefeng Aluminum Industry, founded in 1993, has two production bases in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, which integrates the research, design, production and sales of aluminum alloy building profiles, industrial materials and aluminum alloy doors, windows and curtain walls. the products are widely used in construction, transportation, shipping and other fields, accounting for more than 23% of the domestic high-end market, and the products are exported to more than 70 countries and regions all over the world.
For Jiangsu Yuefeng Aluminum Industry, which has a total staff of more than 5000, it is a key problem to ensure production efficiency while preventing and controlling the epidemic.
The head of Jiangsu Yuefeng aluminum industry said that since the resumption of work on February 18, the situation has been relatively stable, accounting for 70% of the number of people returning to work, and strive to reach a resumption rate of 90% by the end of the month.
The responsible person also mentioned that many employees live in the new area and need to go in and out of the village frequently. In order to enable them to return to the village smoothly after they return to work, the group collects the relevant staff's survey data, body temperature data, and personal information statistics to the village residence in advance, and the new district government has also done a lot of coordination work for this. As a result, most of the employees living in the new area have successfully returned to work, while most of the employees who have not returned to work come from areas such as Hubei and Guangxi.
According to the operational guidelines for epidemic Prevention and Control of Enterprises in Wuxi before and after returning to work, the persons in charge of each enterprise need to find out the personnel of the company still in Hubei Province, as well as employees who have a history of contact in Hubei and return by public transport, so as to notify them one by one, and to understand and register in detail their health status, time and mode of planned return, and other relevant information, and stop production immediately if confirmed cases occur after returning to work.

Subsequently, three teleconference on the same topic were held to further clarify the isolation residence, statistical standards and specific division of labor for epidemic prevention.
It is understood that Jiangsu Yuefeng Aluminum Company currently has 4088 people returning to work, of whom 560 are returning by public transport. according to relevant regulations, they should be quarantined for 14 days before they can officially start work. the group has designated a special floor of the staff dormitory as a temporary isolation observation room, and set up perfect isolation accommodation supporting facilities.
At the same time, in order to more directly and effectively carry out epidemic prevention and control work under the resumption of work and production, managers of Yuefeng Aluminum Industry in Jiangsu Province have established four Wechat working groups to ensure that the group's high-level decisions and notification requirements are communicated to all grass-roots levels in a timely manner, and at the same time, timely collection and reporting of implementation and personnel changes, and so on.
In 2018, when the industry was generally depressed, Jiangsu Yuefeng Aluminum Co., Ltd. still achieved a growth rate of more than 9% through the steady growth of existing business and the rapid growth of emerging business. It not only continued to maintain growth in 2019, but also set a record for the highest number of orders in history, and its products were in short supply.
However, at the beginning of 2020, under the COVID-19 epidemic, Jiangsu Yuefeng Aluminum encountered several problems.
The first is the shortage of manpower. The resumption time was pushed back again and again, and it was not officially resumed until February 18. The current resumption rate of 70% is still not enough to ensure the original production efficiency, and the difficulty of returning to work directly led to the company's loss in February.
Chairman of Jiangsu Yuefeng Aluminum Industry King said that due to the delay in starting work for one month due to the epidemic, the loss of depreciation expenses is large, plus the wages of employees, social security, epidemic prevention and control materials and other expenses, the loss is expected to be about RMB30 million for the whole of February.
In the face of the epidemic, the production and operation of many enterprises have been affected. In addition to the "policies and measures on responding to the pneumonia epidemic infected by novel coronavirus and supporting enterprises to return to work and production" issued by the Jiangsu provincial government, that is, to support enterprises'"resumption of work and production" from the aspects of ensuring employment, lightening the burden, optimizing services, and so on. Wuxi City has also successively issued "Ten Policy opinions on actively responding to the pneumonia epidemic infected by novel coronavirus to support Enterprises to tide over the difficulties" and "guidance on promoting the orderly return to work and production of Enterprises" to support enterprises from the aspects of ensuring employment, lightening the burden, and optimizing services.
The new area, as an important place for the manufacturing industry, recently issued the "Fifteen articles for stabilizing Enterprises", which is now speeding up the landing of the policy. In terms of reducing the burden on enterprises, the "15 articles on stabilizing Enterprises" proposes that if, affected by the epidemic, employers are unable to pay social insurance premiums in full and on time, they can be postponed to pay the fees within 3 months after the lifting of the epidemic, and no late fees will be charged during the period. In terms of finance, the special fund for supporting enterprise financing in the new area and the financing risk compensation fund for small and medium-sized enterprises have increased from 450 million yuan and 200 million yuan to 600 million yuan and 500 million yuan respectively, while reducing subloan fees, expanding the scope of enterprises, and improving risk tolerance. In addition, with reference to the central special re-loan policy, the new area has set up a list of key enterprises for epidemic prevention at the district level to effectively relieve the pressure on the liquidity of enterprises.
Wang Guohua said that as long as the epidemic is under control and with the support and help of the government, they are confident of overcoming difficulties and striving for a balance between "epidemic prevention and production."
However, Jiangsu Yuefeng Aluminum also faces another problem-the products are not synchronized upstream and downstream. According to a person in charge, the supply of upstream products is insufficient and the demand of the downstream construction industry has not yet recovered, which hinders the domestic sales of the company's products. Exports are facing even greater difficulties. Three countries and regions have suspended the purchase of goods from the company, and an order of 120 tons of aluminum profiles has been cancelled in Ethiopia alone.
"if the epidemic does not end in the short term, the situation of other customers is not optimistic. I hope that the government can introduce export support policies." The above-mentioned person in charge of the company said.
In addition, the European Commission recently announced an anti-dumping investigation into aluminum profiles imported from China, which will increase the impact on the export of Yuefeng aluminum products in Jiangsu Province. Wang Guohua said that the company's performance this year is not easy to predict.
In dealing with difficult problems, in addition to actively doing a good job in manpower deployment to ensure production efficiency, Jiangsu Yuefeng Aluminum Industry's new industrial materials product project this year is currently in the design stage, and it is expected that the plant will be quickly built and put into production after the end of the epidemic. Wang Guohua said that the product may bring new output value and export growth points for the company.
