Yuefeng Group continuously deepens its cooperation with German research institutions and maintains a dynamic coordination with international technological development

July 4, 2025
Recently, Liu Lin, the director of the Yuefeng Lightweight Research Institute, and her team visited the Extrusion Research Institute of the Technical University of Berlin (FZS, TU Berlin) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Recycling and Resource Strategy (Fraunhofer IWKS). We have reached a cooperation intention with the research institute in the field of aluminum alloy extrusion technology and will carry out long-term cooperation in the direction of aluminum alloy recycling and reuse.

The Extrusion Research Institute of the Technical University of Berlin is the most authoritative research institution in the German extrusion industry, gathering extrusion industrial enterprises of all sizes and mastering the cutting-edge scientific research technologies of extrusion processes. During the visit to the Yuefeng Lightweight Research Institute, Professor Mueller, the director of the institute, introduced the results of the institute's cutting-edge projects and the independently developed production and experimental equipment. Through visits and exchanges, both sides reached a cooperation intention on the optimization of extrusion processes and joint talent cultivation.

At the Fraunhofer Institute for Materials Recycling and Resource Strategy, the team from the Yuefeng Lightweight Research Institute presented to the IWKS team the research and development innovation achievements that Yuefeng Group has made in recent years in the development and application of high-performance aluminum alloy materials and recycled alloys. Professor Emanuel Ionescu introduced the achievements of the research institute, elaborated on the latest research and development progress of the signed cooperation project between the two sides, and conducted in-depth and practical exchanges around the key technical issues of the project, clarifying the next research and development direction. Subsequently, Professor Emanuel Ionescu accompanied the team to visit the experimental production equipment including AI-assisted sorting technology, plastic resource recycling technology, plastic/metal separation technology and waste impurity removal technology.

Through this visit and exchange, both sides have further deepened their understanding of their respective business needs and technological innovation achievements, and have also laid a foundation for future cooperation in aluminum recycling and reuse technology.
