Argentina on China aluminum plate anti-dumping sunset merger situation change review investigation

The products involved in the case refer in particular to the 3xxx series of non-alloy or alloy aluminum plates in accordance with the provisions of Article 681 of the Argentine National IRAM standard, whose specifications are: diameter greater than or equal to 60 mm, less than or equal to 1000 mm, thickness greater than or equal to 0.3 mm, less than or equal to 5 mm. The MERCOsur tax codes for the products involved are 7606.91.00 and 7606.92.00. During the investigation of the case, anti-dumping duties will not be imposed. The announcement shall take effect as of the date of promulgation.

On February 25, 2019, Argentina launched an anti-dumping investigation on aluminum sheets originating in China. On February 26, 2020, Argentina made a positive final ruling on the case, formally imposing an FOB 80.14% anti-dumping duty, which is valid for five years
