Australia has initiated its first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on Malaysia's precision-rolled aluminum profiles

On June 26, 2025, the Australian anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2025/054 stating that in response to the application submitted by the domestic Australian enterprise Capral Limited, The first anti-dumping sunset review investigation was initiated on Aluminium extrusions (mill finish) imported from Malaysia. The dumping investigation period for this case is from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, and the injury investigation period starts from April 1, 2021. The Australian customs codes of the involved products are 7604.10.00.06, 7604.21.00.07, 7604.21.00.08, 7604.29.00.09, 7604.29.00.10, 7608.10.00.09, 7608.20.00.10, and 7610.10. 00.12 and 7610.90.00.13. The Australian Anti-dumping Commission is expected to complete the basic facts report of this investigation no later than October 14, 2025, and submit the final ruling report to the Minister for Industry and Science of Australia no later than November 28, 2025.

On February 24, 2020, the Australian anti-Dumping Commission issued Notice No. 2020/018, stating that it initiated an anti-dumping investigation into precast rolled aluminum profiles imported from Malaysia upon the application submitted by the Australian company Capral Limited. On April 29, 2021, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission terminated the anti-dumping investigation into the Malaysian enterprise Superb Aluminium Industries Sdn Bhd. On June 2, 2021, the Australian anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2021/033, deciding to impose anti-dumping duties on the subject products from Malaysia. The measures will be valid until June 2, 2026.
