Australia makes final ruling on the first sunset review of Malaysian precision-rolled aluminum profiles

On May 4, 2026, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2026/050, stating that the Australian Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science had approved the final ruling proposal made by the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission regarding the anti-dumping review of imported aluminium extrusions (mill finish) from Malaysia. It was decided that starting from June 3, 2026, the anti-dumping duty would continue to be imposed on Malaysian exporter LB Aluminium Bhd at the minimum price limit, and the anti-dumping duty would also be imposed on exporter Milleon Extruder Sdn Bhd at a rate of 3.4%; at the same time, the anti-dumping duty on Malaysian exporter Kamco Aluminium Sdn Bhd would be terminated.
 
On February 24, 2020, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2020/018, stating that in response to an application submitted by Australian company Capral Limited, an anti-dumping investigation was initiated for imported precision rolled aluminum profiles from Malaysia. On April 29, 2021, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission terminated the anti-dumping investigation against Malaysian company Superb Aluminium Industries Sdn Bhd. On June 2, 2021, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2021/033, deciding to impose anti-dumping duties on the involved products from Malaysia, and the measure will remain in effect until June 2, 2026.
 
On June 26, 2025, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2025/054, stating that in response to an application submitted by the Australian domestic enterprise Capral Limited, it initiated the first sunset review investigation into imported precision rolled aluminum profiles from Malaysia. The dumping investigation period for this case was from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, and the injury investigation period began on April 1, 2021. The Australian customs codes of the involved products are 7604.10.00.06, 7604.21.00.07, 7604.21.00.08, 7604.29.00.09, 7604.29.00.10, 7608.10.00.09, 7608.20.00.10, 7610.10.00.12, and 7610.90.00.13.
