The Canadian Finance Minister stated that these import measures will be extended until June 30, 2027, pending cabinet approval. This move represents Canada's commitment to "defending steel workers and industries, resisting the transfer of steel trade and the non-market-oriented policies and behaviors that lead to global overcapacity."
