Citigroup has raised its average price forecast for Lme aluminum in 2027 to $3,500 per ton

On Wednesday, September 3rd, Citigroup said that its medium-term bullish sentiment has strengthened and it expects copper prices to break through $11,000 by the end of 2026. The investment bank stated that aluminum is at least as bullish as copper in the long term and raised its average price forecast for 2027 from $3,000 per ton to $3,500 per ton. Citigroup expects silver to rise to $43 per ounce in the coming months. The investment bank maintained its 0-3 month price target for Henley Hub gas at $3.8 per million British thermal units. Citigroup also slightly lowered its forecast for the average Brent crude oil price in 2026 from $65 per barrel to $62 per barrel.
