In April, the prices of raw and auxiliary materials for alumina showed a differentiated trend of fluctuation, and the production costs of enterprises increased slightly. Regarding bauxite, domestic mines were supported by the shortage of high-quality resources, and their prices remained stable throughout the month; imported mines were affected by the lack of substantive progress in the policies of Guinea, and their prices gradually faced downward pressure and fell from the peak level, but the actual mining costs of enterprises had already increased. In terms of liquid alkali, the prices rose first and then fell within the month. In the first half of the month, they rose slightly due to smooth shipments, but in the middle and late part of the month, enterprises' efforts to reduce inventory and weak demand from the downstream market led to a continuous slight decline in prices. Regarding thermal coal, the prices rose first and then fell within the month, and ended the month with a slight increase. The overall fluctuation range was limited. The prices of raw and auxiliary materials for alumina rose and fell respectively. The inventory of low-priced raw materials of alumina enterprises was consumed in the early stage, and the production costs of alumina enterprises increased compared with the previous period.
