Fan Shunke comprehensively reviewed the development trend of the aluminum processing industry in 2024 in his speech. He pointed out that the industry has been making steady progress with many highlights: the total output of aluminum materials has continued to grow. In 2024, the national comprehensive output of aluminum materials reached 49 million tons, increasing by 4.4% year-on-year. Although there are differences in the sub-varieties, the growth trend of the total output has not changed. The achievements in scientific and technological innovation and green low-carbon development have been abundant. Six aluminum processing projects have won the first prize of the Science and Technology Award of China Nonferrous Metals Industry. Fourteen enterprises have been recognized as national-level green factories. The production capacity of green power aluminum and the output of recycled aluminum have both exceeded 10 million tons, and recycled aluminum accounts for nearly 20% of the total aluminum consumption. Exports reached a record high. In 2024, the export volume of aluminum materials and products reached 9.55 million tons, an increase of 17.9%. The exports covered more than 200 countries and regions. The export performance from January to April 2025 remained outstanding. Leading enterprises take the lead in self-discipline and effectively curb the "involution" vicious competition in niche fields such as photovoltaic aluminum frames.
Facing challenges such as the reconstruction of the global industrial chain and changes in consumer demand, Fan Shunke emphasized that we should remain confident. China's aluminum consumption market is huge and widely applied. There is unlimited potential in emerging fields, and the international competitiveness of its industrial chain and supply chain is strong. Relying on advantages such as a super-large-scale market and a complete industrial system, the medium and long-term development prospects of the aluminum processing industry are promising as it adheres to the right path while innovating and upgrading.
Regarding the future development of the industry, Fan Shunke put forward six key suggestions: precisely plan the "15th Five-Year Plan", promote the transformation from scale expansion to quality and efficiency, and build a new product system in line with downstream demands; Strengthen independent innovation and overcome "bottleneck" technologies; Deeply explore the advantages of aluminium materials and expand application scenarios; Optimize export strategies, deal with trade frictions, and participate in the formulation of international rules; Promote green, characteristic and intelligent development, integrate the recycled aluminum industry, and build a demonstration factory for intelligent manufacturing; Strengthen industry self-discipline, with leading enterprises taking the lead in maintaining market order, and focus on improving quality, technology and brand.
Fan Shunke particularly affirmed the achievements of the aluminum profile industry in Anyi. As a national-level characteristic cluster of small and medium-sized enterprises, Anyi has formed a complete characteristic industrial chain with a scale of over 70 billion yuan and cultivated numerous leading enterprises. He hopes that Anyi will take this conference as an opportunity to strengthen its brand advantages, extend and complement its industrial chain, expand high-level exports, and contribute "Anyi wisdom" to the development of the industry.
