India has decided to impose anti-dumping duties on anodized aluminum frames of Chinese solar panels/modules

On 27 September 2024, the Department of Revenue of the Ministry of Finance issued Circular No. 16/2024-Customs(ADD) stating, Accepting the final anti-dumping ruling made by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India on 29 June 2024 on AnodizedAluminium Frames for Solar Panels/Modules originating in or imported from China, Decided to impose anti-dumping duties on China's products involved in the case for a period of 5 years, the tax amount is 403-577 US dollars/ton, the tax details are shown in the attached table. The case involves products under Indian Customs codes 76109010, 76109030 and 76169990. This measure shall enter into force on the date of publication of this communication in the Official Gazette.
On June 30, 2023, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice saying that in response to an application submitted by VishakhaMetals Private Limited, a domestic Indian enterprise, an anti-dumping investigation was launched on anodized aluminum frames originating in or imported from China for solar panels/modules. On June 29, 2024, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry made a positive final ruling on the case.
