The Ministry of the Environment will collaborate with other ministries and institutions to enhance effective export supervision. The department stated that in recent years, some waste recycling plants have had lax management, resulting in a large amount of metal and plastic resources that could have been used in Japan being exported abroad. More stringent restrictions also help ensure economic security.
