Mexico issues preliminary anti-dumping ruling on Chinese hollow profile products

On December 31, 2025, the Ministry of Economy of Mexico issued a notice, making a positive preliminary anti-dumping ruling on finished and semi-finished hollow profiled materials (Spanish: perfiles huecos de aluminio, including final and temporary ones) originating from China and the United States. The preliminary decision is to impose provisional anti-dumping duties on the involved products. The duty for products imported from China is $1.88 per kilogram, and for those imported from the United States, it is $1.62 per kilogram. The TIGIE tariff number of the involved products is 7604.21.01. The measures will come into effect from the day after the announcement is made and will be valid for four months.
The stakeholders should submit their comments on the case and any supplementary materials within 20 working days from the date of the announcement.
On March 5, 2025, Mexico initiated an anti-dumping investigation into finished and semi-finished hollow profiled materials originating from China and the United States. The dumping investigation period for this case is from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, while the injury investigation period is from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024.
