Mexico makes final anti-dumping ruling on Chinese aluminum bar profiles

On September 4, 2026, the Mexican Ministry of Economy issued a notice, making a positive final anti-dumping ruling on finished and semi-finished aluminum bar profiles (Spanish: perfiles y barras de aluminio) originating from China. The decision is to impose an anti-dumping duty of 1.58 US dollars per kilogram. The TIGIE tariff codes of the involved products are 7604.10.02, 7604.10.99, 7604.29.01, 7604.29.02, and 7604.29.99. The measures will come into effect from the day after the announcement is made.
 
On March 5, 2025, Mexico initiated an anti-dumping investigation on finished and semi-finished aluminum bar profiles originating from China. The dumping investigation period was from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, and the injury investigation period was from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024. On December 29, 2025, Mexico made a positive preliminary ruling on this case, preliminarily deciding to impose a temporary anti-dumping duty of 1.55 US dollars per kilogram on the involved products, with a validity period of four months.
