Qingzhen Economic Development Zone, as an important production area, boasts the largest contiguous mining area in Guizhou Province and ranks first in the province in terms of resource reserves. Relying on this advantage, Qingzhen Economic Development Zone is actively building an aluminum and aluminum processing industrial cluster. Centering on "rich ore and precise development" and "six enhancements", it implements the "one main and one special" strategy with aluminum as the chain, and promotes the construction, strengthening and extension of the aluminum industry chain along the path of "industrial chain - industrial cluster - industrial ecosystem". The Wangzhuang Aluminum Deep Processing Industrial Park, adjacent to the Guiyang-Guizhou Expressway, serves as the core carrying area. After years of development, it has gradually become the largest industrial base with a highly concentrated aluminum industry in Guizhou Province. Currently, it has an alumina production capacity of 2.5 million tons and an electrolytic aluminum production capacity of 500,000 tons. Under the leadership of leading enterprises, we seized the opportunities of the "Strong Provincial Capital" initiative and policies, accelerated the strengthening, supplementation and extension of industrial chains, successfully introduced high-quality enterprises such as Qianbiao Aluminum Industry and Guizhou Keyin Digital Technology, and cultivated and expanded local benchmark enterprises such as Guizhou Aluminum New Materials, achieving a transformation from raw materials to the production of high value-added products, such as battery aluminum foil and high-end automotive lightweight industrial profiles.
Innovation-driven development builds a pattern of deep processing
Industrial upgrading is the key focus of the development of the aluminum and aluminum processing industry in Qingzhen Economic Development Zone, concentrating on the deep processing of aluminum to increase the added value of products. The 30,000-ton ultra-thin and power battery aluminum foil project of Guizhou Guilu New Materials Co., Ltd. adopts advanced equipment and technology. The products fill the gap and have broad application prospects. Guizhou Zhonglv Aluminum Industry has implemented a demonstration project of an intelligent production execution system, achieving full-process intelligent management and promoting the transformation of traditional aluminum enterprises towards "intelligent manufacturing". The Economic Development Zone actively contributes to promoting the high-end development of aluminum processing. Currently, Guizhou Keyin Digital Technology Co., Ltd. has achieved remarkable production results in the first half of the year. Subsequently, it will continue to advance 8 deep processing projects, providing strong support for the industrial development of the park. We will deepen technological empowerment simultaneously, consolidate platform support, and establish a strategic partnership with the Guiyang-Gui 'an Industrial Technology Research Institute of Central South University (Guizhou) in 2025. We will promote breakthroughs in key technologies and the industrialization of achievements in a coordinated manner. Relying on the "Innovation Map of Aluminum Industry Technology in Guiyang City", we will precisely apply efforts to facilitate key research and development projects to obtain provincial-level project support, and promote the development of Qingzhen Economic Development Zone into a core carrier area for the deep processing of aluminum resources in Qingzhen City.
Deepen the service for existing enterprises in the aluminum industry
Deepen research in the sub-sectors of metallic aluminum and non-metallic aluminum, focus on characteristic industries, initiate the planning and compilation of new building materials industries, give priority to serving existing enterprises, and strive to stabilize production capacity, the market and expectations. In response to the decline in alumina prices and the continuous downturn in the building materials industry, we have strengthened visits and services to leading enterprises such as Huajin, Huaren, Guangzhou Aluminum, and Yuefeng, enhanced the guarantee of production factors, coordinated full-load production, and ensured that every grain is fully stocked. Two new "Green Factories" at the municipal level of Guiyang were recognized. Deepen the application of the "Rich Ore Precision Exploitation · Aluminum Clearing Centralized Procurement" platform, promote the construction of physical projects such as desulfurization and desilication, and optimize the guarantee of mineral resources. Establish a special task force for the aluminum industry, strengthen technological services, and promote the implementation of the high-strength and high-toughness aluminum foil technology research and development cooperation with the Guiyang-Gui 'an Research Institute of Central South University in a list-based manner, to facilitate the innovation and upgrading of the industry. Promote major breakthroughs in the filling of red mud mines, make good use of steam, ash and slag, and solidify the circular economy.
