Russian aluminum supplies to China hit a record high in the January-August period

Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported that from January to August 2024, China's aluminum imports to Russia increased by 1.4 times, with a total value of about $2.3 billion, reaching a record high, and Russia's aluminum supply to China in 2019 was only $60.6 million. Overall, Russian metal supplies to China rose 9 percent in the January-August period to $5.1 billion from $4.7 billion in the same period last year.
