Summary of China's Aluminum Industry Chain Import and Export Data in the first half of the year

The latest data from the General Administration of Customs shows that in June 2025, China exported 490,000 tons of unrolled aluminum and aluminum products, a year-on-year decrease of 19.8%. From January to June, the cumulative export volume was 2.92 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.0%.
In June, China exported 170,000 tons of alumina, up 8.9% year-on-year. From January to June, the cumulative export volume reached 1.34 million tons, representing a year-on-year growth of 65.7%.
In June, China imported 300,000 tons of unrolled aluminum and aluminum products, up 24.1% year-on-year. From January to June, the cumulative imports reached 1.98 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.2%.
In June, China imported 18.12 million tons of bauxite and its concentrates, up 36.2% year-on-year. From January to June, a total of 103.25 million tons of bauxite and its concentrates were imported, representing a year-on-year increase of 33.6%.
