Talum has invested 55 million euros in the transformation of aluminum production

According to foreign media reports, Slovenian aluminium producer Talum said it expects to complete a green transformation investment cycle worth over 55 million euros (64.6 million US dollars) by the end of 2025.
Talum said in a statement on Friday that the project enables Talum to shift from primary aluminium production to recycled aluminium production to reduce its environmental impact.
Marko Drobnic, the CEO of Talum, stated that by focusing on the production of aluminum rods from recycled aluminum, the project has significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions, enhanced energy efficiency, and directly contributed to Europe's circular economy goals.
Talum added that the company plans to invest an additional 60 million euros by 2030 to achieve carbon-neutral production and expand the range of recycled aluminum products to include rods and discs, etc.
According to the latest annual financial report, the Slovenian government holds 86.25% of the shares in Talum.
