The Aluminium Industries Corporation of India will build an aluminium extrusion plant to supply chassis components for iphones

According to foreign media reports, Hindalco, an Indian aluminum industry company, will invest 5.86 billion Indian rupees in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh to build an aluminum extrusion plant to supply chassis components for Apple mobile phones. The project is expected to go into production in March 2027.
On August 28th, the project was approved at the 10th meeting of the State Industrial Promotion Committee held in Amaravati.
Kuppam is only 120 kilometers away from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Recently, Foxconn, an Apple partner, has opened a factory in Bengaluru.
