When it comes to the first meeting of the China-Us economic and trade consultation mechanism, Li Chenggang, the representative for international trade negotiations and vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce, said that the two sides conducted professional, rational, in-depth and candid communication. The two sides have, in principle, reached a framework for implementing the consensus reached by the two heads of state during the phone call on June 5th and the consensus reached at the Geneva talks. The progress made at this London meeting is conducive to further enhancing trust between China and the United States, further promoting the stable and healthy development of China-Us economic and trade relations, and injecting positive energy into the development of the global economy.
