The Eurasian Economic Union issued a final anti-dumping ruling on Japan and other four aluminum wheels

On April 16, 2024, the Department of Internal Market Protection of the Eurasian Economic Commission issued the final disclosure of the anti-dumping investigation against aluminum wheels originating in Japan, Thailand, Turkey and Malaysia (see Notice No. 2024/404/AD37), ruling that there was dumping of the products involved in the above-mentioned four countries, and that the dumping caused material harm to the Eurasian Economic Union. Therefore, it is recommended to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved for a period of five years, among which, Turkey's CMS Group companies and other Turkish producers/exporters are 35.29%, Japan 36.54%, Malaysia 9.38%, and Thailand 42.82%. The products in question are 13 inches to 20 inches in diameter, with a maximum load of 1150 kg and a center aperture of less than 131 mm, complete sets, with or without tires, with or without one or more wheel accessories, new or used aluminum alloy wheels, and relate to products under EAEU tax codes 8708705001 and 8708705009.
 
Interested parties are expected to submit comments on the case by May 3, 2024.
 
On March 1, 2023, the Eurasian Economic Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation on aluminum wheels originating in Japan, Thailand, Turkey and Malaysia.
