The European Union has made an initial anti-dumping ruling on China's molten alumina

On July 18, 2025, the European Commission issued a notice, making an affirmative preliminary determination on the anti-dumping investigation of Fused Alumina originating from China. Preliminary ruling: The provisional anti-dumping duty of Chongqing Saite Corundum Co., Ltd. is 125.2%, and Luoyang Runbao Abrasives Co., Ltd. The provisional anti-dumping duty for Ltd. Is 111.9%, for other cooperating enterprises (see Appendix I of the original text) it is 118.8%, and for other enterprises it is 136.3%. The EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) codes of the involved products are 2818 10 11, 2818 10 19, ex 2818 10 91 and 2818 10 99 (TARIC codes are 2818 10 91 20 and 2818 10 91 90). The dumping investigation period for this case is from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024, and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2021 to the end of the dumping investigation period. Interested parties should submit applications for the hearing within 5 natural days and comments on the case within 15 natural days from the day following the announcement.
On November 21, 2024, the European Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation into molten alumina originating from China.
