According to foreign media reports, on Monday, NALCO of India signed an agreement with EGA of the United Arab Emirates in Dubai, introducing the DX+ Ultra aluminium smelting technology to NALCO's expansion project of the 500,000-ton-per-year smelter located in Anugola, Odisha.
The proposed expansion project is expected to start production by the end of 2030. Combined with NALCO's existing capacity, this expansion will increase NALCO's total annual aluminium production to approximately 1 million tons.
