The Ministry of Commerce held a symposium on the recycling and utilization of "new three types" solid waste.

The vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce, Sheng Qiuping, attended the event and delivered a speech. Three academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Du Xiangwan, Chen Yong and Xing Feng, were invited to the meeting. Representatives from relevant departments, industry associations and leading enterprises also participated in the conference.
The meeting pointed out that currently, the batteries of new energy vehicles in our country are entering a stage of large-scale retirement, and photovoltaic components and wind turbine equipment will also successively reach the peak period of retirement. The recycling and utilization of the "new three types" of solid waste is of great significance to the overall situation of green development, energy and resource security, and the well-being of the people. The task is arduous, the responsibility is heavy, and the mission is glorious.
The meeting emphasized that all actions should be aligned with the decisions and instructions of the Central Committee and the State Council. Multiple measures should be taken simultaneously to effectively implement the construction of the "New Three Types" solid waste recycling and utilization system through concrete actions. We should adhere to systematic advancement and form synergy, accelerate the improvement of top-level institutional design, promote the formulation of policy documents, and establish a working pattern of policy consultation, resource sharing, complementary advantages, and overall advancement. We should also adhere to precise guidance and differentiated policies, taking differentiated and precise measures based on the development stages and recycling characteristics of the battery power, photovoltaic components, and wind turbine equipment industries, to effectively solve the problems of recycling and dismantling. We should also adhere to technological leadership and technological empowerment, actively promote the research and development of technical foundations related to the recycling and utilization of "New Three Types" solid waste, and promote the integration and application of artificial intelligence in the recycling and utilization process. We should also adhere to pilot exploration and encourage leading enterprises and regions with产业集聚 to take the lead and try out， improving the recycling efficiency， enhancing sorting capabilities， and promoting the high-quality development of the recycling industry.
