On June 16 local time, the White House of the United States issued a statement saying that US President Trump and British Prime Minister Stammer jointly announced the general terms of the trade agreement. It is learned that in the general terms, the United States plans to set an annual quota of 100,000 vehicles for British car imports and impose a tariff rate of 10%. The UK has committed to striving to meet the US requirements for the security of the supply chain of steel and aluminum products exported to the US and the nature of ownership of related production facilities. On the premise that the UK meets these requirements, the US plans to promptly set "most-favored-nation" tax rate quotas for steel and aluminum products produced in the UK and certain derivative steel and aluminum products. Furthermore, both sides have committed to strengthening the supply chains of aerospace and aircraft manufacturing by establishing duty-free bilateral trade in certain aerospace products. The United States has abolished the tariffs imposed on the British aerospace industry in the previous three executive orders.
