According to the Information and Statistics Department of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, production in the non-ferrous metals industry has generally maintained steady growth, and fixed-asset investment continues to show stable expansion.
In October, the real year-on-year increase in value-added output of large-scale non-ferrous metals enterprises was 4.0% (all value-added growth rates cited are real growth figures adjusted for price factors).
For the January–October period, the real year-on-year increase in value-added output of large-scale non-ferrous metals enterprises stood at 7.4%, which is 0.4 percentage points lower than the growth rate for the first three quarters and 1.3 percentage points higher than the corresponding growth rate for the overall large-scale industrial sector.
