On December 28th, the lightweight aluminum alloy die-casting project of Yuefeng Aluminum Industry Technology Co., Ltd. officially achieved mass production, and the first batch of precision die-castings were successfully rolled off the production line. At present, the first phase of the project has been fully completed and officially formed mass production and supply capacity this month, achieving an efficient transformation from planning to production.
This marks a substantive progress in the base construction of advanced manufacturing of aluminum parts in Jiangsu Province, and also injects strong impetus into the improvement and upgrading of the aluminum industry chain in Wuxi City.
It is learned that the project is led by SAIC-GM-Wuling and invested and constructed by its strategic partner Liuzhou Machinery in Wuxi City. It is planned to be implemented in three phases with a total investment of approximately 165 million yuan, and 12 die-casting unit islands are planned to be built. After full production, the annual aluminum consumption is expected to exceed 20,000 tons. Through a technology-intensive manufacturing model, the added value and industrial level of traditional aluminum resources will be significantly enhanced.
At present, three pieces of equipment have been put into production, with an estimated annual output value of about 60 million yuan. Liu Lin, the deputy general manager of the casting division of Yuefeng Co., LTD., said that after the completion of the entire project, the annual output value is expected to increase to 550 million yuan.
