On August 25th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicized the "5G Factory List for 2025". The 5G factory for intelligent manufacturing of electrolytic aluminum applied for by Yuefeng Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. of our city was successfully included, marking a "zero" breakthrough for our city in the field of national 5G fully connected factory construction. A total of six enterprises in Wuxi were awarded the title of National 5G Factory this time. The selection of Yuefeng Aluminum Industry adds another significant achievement to the deep integration of 5G technology and industry in the entire district.
I. 5G Fully Connected Factory: A Key Carrier for Promoting the Digital Transformation of Industry
The 5G fully connected factory is an important product of the deep integration of new-generation information and communication technology with industrial production. Its core lies in relying on the unique advantages of 5G technology, such as "high speed, low latency, and large connection", to break down data barriers in all links of industrial production and promote the digital reconstruction and intelligent upgrading of the production process. During the construction of the 5G factory, Yuefeng Aluminum Industry, based on the production characteristics of the electrolytic aluminum industry, innovatively created a "five-network integration" 5G industrial Internet architecture, achieving seamless coverage of the 5G network throughout the factory area. At the same time, an aluminum electrolysis big data platform, an enterprise-level data center and a cloud service platform were built simultaneously, forming a dual-spiral development system of "production hardware upgrade + digital control". Through the automation transformation, digital empowerment and intelligent optimization of the entire production, operation and management process, the enterprise has achieved dynamic monitoring of production factors, precise control of the production process and scientific and efficient management decisions, laying a solid foundation for subsequent intelligent construction and providing a "Yuefeng model" for the application of 5G in the non-ferrous metals industry.

Yuefeng Aluminum Industry has been successfully recognized as a national 5G factory. This not only injects new impetus into the high-quality development of the enterprise itself, but also provides valuable experience for manufacturing enterprises in our city to promote 5G applications and intelligent upgrades. Next, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology will take this achievement as an opportunity to further strengthen policy guidance and element guarantee: First, increase support for the application of new-generation information technologies such as 5G in the industrial field and improve supporting policies and measures; Second, focus on key industries such as equipment manufacturing, non-ferrous metals, and chemicals, organize and carry out pilot demonstrations of 5G factory construction, and promote more enterprises to "go online, use data, and be endowed with intelligence". Third, deepen the integration of industrial Internet and the real economy, accelerate the cultivation of digital transformation service providers, assist the city's manufacturing industry in achieving quality, efficiency and power transformation, and provide strong support for building a modern industrial system.
