Yuefeng Aluminum signed a supply agreement for recycled aluminum products with Velux Group

According to foreign media reports, Yuefeng Aluminum has signed a commercial agreement with Velux Group, a top window manufacturer, to supply Velu with flat-rolled aluminum products containing over 70% recycled aluminum.
Compared with primary aluminium, recycled aluminium can save energy and reduce emissions by up to 95%, making it a key driver in advancing building materials and decarbonization solutions for buildings.
Yuefeng Aluminum has been a supplier of Velux for over 40 years. The two sides signed a preliminary letter of intent for this project in 2022 and have been working together since then to reduce the carbon footprint of aluminum used in Velux products. They have set a goal of emitting 3 kg or less of CO2eq per kilogram of rolled aluminum by 2030. To date, more than half of the output supplied by Yuefeng Aluminium to Velux has been replaced by aluminium produced from high-recycled aluminium materials.
