On April 22nd, the "Yuefeng - Yuefeng Auto Lightweighting Joint Laboratory", jointly established by a leading auto company and Yuefeng Aluminum Technology, was officially set up in Suzhou. According to the plan, with the joint research and development of both sides, the proportion of aluminum materials in the body of the next-generation product will be increased to 50%, the weight of the body-in-white will be reduced by 15%, the torsional stiffness of the body will be enhanced by 11%, and the driving range will be increased by 10%. Meanwhile, on the chassis components of the next-generation product, the automotive cast aluminum alloy jointly developed by both parties will be applied. Compared with the existing aluminum alloy, the fatigue strength will be increased by 20%, the weight will be reduced by 15%, and the carbon emissions will be reduced by 20%.
