Yuefeng Aluminum: The company's recycled aluminum project has great advantages and will generate green premium in the future

On May 16, Yuefeng Aluminum said at the company's performance presentation that with the emphasis on carbon emission reduction at home and abroad, the company's recycled aluminum project has a greater advantage and will generate a green premium in the future.
As a kind of national strategic material, aluminum resource has the characteristic of scarcity. Recycled aluminum is aluminum alloy or aluminum metal obtained by remelting from waste aluminum and aluminum alloy materials or aluminum containing waste materials. Compared with the production of the same amount of primary aluminum, 1 ton of recycled aluminum can save 3~4 tons of standard coal, save 14 cubic meters of water, reduce solid waste emission of 20 tons, and energy consumption is only 3%~5% of the energy consumption of electrolytic aluminum. In mid-November 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other three departments issued the Implementation Plan for Carbon Peak in the Non-ferrous Metal Industry, proposing the construction of a green manufacturing system. One of the work is to develop the renewable metal industry: "By 2025, the output of recycled copper and recycled aluminum shall reach 4 million tons and 11.5 million tons respectively, and the supply of recycled metal shall account for more than 24%".
According to the disclosure of the 2022 annual report of Yuefeng Aluminum, during the reporting period, the annual output of 360,000 tons of recycled aluminum of Yuefeng New Materials was put into production, and the company's production capacity of recycled aluminum protection exceeded 1 million tons.
