Yuefeng High Precision Aluminum Co., LTD. 's plant in Wuxi High-tech Zone Industrial Park, Jiangsu Province has been certified to ASI Chain of Custody (CoC) standard V2(2022). The plant manufactures aluminum alloy sheets, profiles and foils, with production operations including remelting, casting, hot rolling, cold rolling, coating, scuttling and oxidation processes.
Aluminum Management Initiative ASI announced on June 3 that Yuefeng High Precision Aluminum Co., Ltd. has successfully passed ASI CoC Standard V2(2022) certification. The plant was certified for performance standards in April 2021 and its products are widely used in FMCG packaging such as beverage cans, aseptic packaging, automotive lightweight materials and consumer electronics.
ASI CoC Standard V2 creates chain-of-custody requirements for aluminum materials produced and processed through the aluminum value chain and transferred to different downstream sectors. The implementation of the ASI CoC standard connects entities certified to ASI performance standards in successive steps of the aluminum supply chain with the products they produce. The CoC standard requires certified entities to have appropriate policies and due diligence processes in place to identify and address critical issues, such as corruption, human rights abuses, materials from conflict-affected and high-risk areas of the supply chain, and to support responsible sourcing.
Independent third-party certification audits of Yuefeng High Precision Aluminum Co., Ltd. plants are performed by SGS-CSTC Standard Technical Services. Page 5 of the Summary audit report provides a complete list of audit findings (summarizing evidence of compliance and evidence of minor non-compliance) : Guidelines 4.2a Eligible scrap (pre-consumption), 4.2b eligible scrap (post-consumption), 5.1c ASI aluminium (aluminium procurement), 5.2 marking, 7.1a Responsible Sourcing Policy (anti-corruption), 7.1b Responsible Sourcing Policy (responsible sourcing), 7.1c Responsible Sourcing Policy (Human Rights due diligence) and 7.1d The Responsible Procurement Policy (Conflict-affected and high-risk areas) identifies eight minor non-conformities. During the certification period, Yuefeng High Precision Aluminum Co., Ltd. will implement a corrective action plan and verify it in the follow-up audit.
"We congratulate Yuefeng High Precision Aluminum Co., Ltd. on obtaining ASI CoC Standard V2 certification. Responsible sourcing of aluminium is critical to addressing environmental, social and governance issues along the value chain. This certification demonstrates the progress the company has made in its supply chain due diligence and provides a pathway to continuously improve its sustainability performance."

About the Aluminum Management Initiative ASI
ASI is a non-profit program dedicated to the development and certification of standards for the aluminum value chain. ASI's vision is to maximise aluminium's contribution to a sustainable society. Our mission is to identify and collaborate to promote the responsible production, responsible sourcing and corporate governance of aluminum. Central to ASI certification is the review of two voluntary standards: the ASI Performance Standard and the ASI Chain of Custody Standard. The ASI Performance Standards define environmental, social and governance principles and standards to address sustainability issues in the aluminium value chain. The ASI Chain of Custody (CoC) standard complements ASI's performance standards and is voluntarily certified for ASI members. The CoC standard sets chain-of-custody requirements for the flow of aluminum materials, including ASI aluminum products that are produced through the value chain and applied to different downstream areas after processing. By implementing ASI's CoC standards, a link is established between the supply chain under ASI performance standards and the products produced by ASI entities to advance sustainability across the aluminium value chain.
ASI currently has more than 350 participants worldwide, including representative manufacturers of bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminum smelting, semi-finished product manufacturing, aluminum products, component manufacturing, consumer and commercial products (including the automotive industry, construction and packaging), as well as selected trade associations and other supporters.
