Algeria Advances on Aluminum Processing Complex Project

According to a report by Algérie360 media on September 20th, the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) has officially issued land concession documents for an integrated aluminum processing complex. The project is located in the El Ach industrial activity zone of Bordj Bou Arréridj Province, covering approximately 8 hectares. The report predicts that the project will create about 1,000 job opportunities.
The issuance of the land documents means that the project has further advanced from the investment application stage into the implementation preparation stage. Bordj Bou Arréridj itself has a strong manufacturing foundation. If the new project is successfully implemented, it can further increase the local metal processing capacity and provide local配套for industries such as construction， home appliances， and transportation equipment that use aluminum materials.
From the perspective of Algeria's industrial policy， the focus of the metal industry is gradually shifting from raw materials and primary products to processed finished products. The actual value of the aluminum processing project still depends on subsequent investment scale， equipment level， raw material sources， product structure， and downstream customers. However， its direction is consistent with Algeria's policy goals of increasing local value-added and reducing the import of industrial finished products.
