From January to August, the total profits of the mining industry reached 766.15 billion yuan, up by 35.1% year-on-year; the profits of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3,969.53 billion yuan, growing by 17.4%; the profits of the power, heat, gas and water production and supply industry were 536.30 billion yuan, down by 12.0%.
The profit situation of major industries from January to August is as follows: The non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 82.9%, the coal mining and washing industry increased by 51.6%, the power, heat, gas and water production and supply industry decreased by 15.1%, the automotive manufacturing industry decreased by 16.0%, and the petroleum, coal and other fuel processing industry turned from loss to profit.
