Chemical property testing
 
Chemical property testing is a fundamental step in the quality control of aluminum materials. In-depth analysis of the chemical composition, structure and content of aluminum materials provides key basis for subsequent processing and application. At the Yuefeng Aluminum Materials Testing Center, advanced chemical analysis and testing technologies are widely applied
 
The main alloying elements of aluminium alloys include silicon (Si), magnesium (Mg), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), and manganese (Mn), etc. The secondary alloying elements include nickel (Ni), iron (Fe), titanium (Ti), chromium (Cr), etc. These elements play different roles in aluminium alloys
 
Therefore, the acceptance inspection of aluminum ingots upon their entry into the factory is one of the important testing methods to ensure product quality. The test results are compared with the limit values in the standards to confirm whether each element is within the allowable deviation range. For example, if a certain grade of aluminum ingot requires Al≥99.70% and the measured value is 99.6%, it is judged as unqualified. If other impurity metals exceed the limit, it is also judged as unqualified
 
Mechanical property testing
The mechanical properties are the key performance indicators for aluminum materials to withstand various external forces in practical applications. In the construction field, aluminum alloy materials are widely used in structural components such as doors, Windows, frames, and curtain walls. These components have strict requirements for the durability and safety of the materials
 
Tensile tests are conducted to examine the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy materials, ensuring that they can withstand various natural and human factors such as wind loads and earthquakes during long-term use
 
Tensile strength reflects the ultimate load-bearing capacity of the material, providing a safety boundary for engineering design
 
Yield strength is the stress point at which a material begins to undergo plastic deformation. Once the stress exceeds the yield strength, the material will undergo permanent deformation and cannot return to its original state
 
The elongation after fracture reflects the high ductility of the material. High ductility means that the material can disperse stress through deformation (such as impact absorption), reducing the risk of brittle fracture

Coating performance testing

The performance of the film layer 1: Sealing quality is directly related to the corrosion resistance, service life and appearance quality of aluminum materials

Among them, the film gauge (i.e., film thickness gauge) is one of the core tools for detection. It can quickly measure the thickness of the film layer on the surface of aluminum materials. By testing the film gauge on a standard thickness sheet, the measurement error of the film gauge can be controlled within a very small range, providing an accurate and reliable reference for subsequent actual detection
 
The 3-grid test for film performance is used to evaluate the adhesion of surface coatings (such as electrophoretic or fluorocarbon paint films, powder coatings). By scratching the coating to form a grid, it is observed whether the coating peels off or peels off, thereby determining the bonding strength between the coating and the substrate
