Recently, the high strength and high forming 6XXX aluminum alloy plate for body, jointly developed by Aluminum Institute and Yuefeng Aluminum, has been successfully pressed on the die of the door inner plate of a complex inner covering part of a commercial vehicle. The product has no cracking, the forming quality meets the requirements, and has been recognized by customers.
Due to its forming difficulty, the automobile interior covering parts are usually made of 5XXX aluminum alloy with high formability, while the outer covering parts are usually made of 6XXX aluminum alloy. The composition difference between the two parts is large, and it is difficult to realize the recycling at the same level. In order to further promote the green and low-carbon development of automotive aluminum, Aluminum Materials Institute and Yuefeng Aluminum rely on Fuzhou City "open list" project "High strength 6XXX aluminum alloy plate strip Industrialization Technology Development for Automotive Interior covering Parts", after two years of joint technical research, from the alloy composition design, processing process control, application technology research and development, etc. The 6XXX aluminum alloy auto sheet with high strength and high forming for inner covering parts has been successfully developed, and the package solutions of stamping forming, connecting and surface treatment have been established.
The results of this stage lay a solid foundation for the further trial production optimization of high strength and high forming 6xxx automotive plate, as well as the promotion and application. The two sides will give full play to the advantages of technology-production-marketing collaboration, through EVI early intervention and other methods, to help the internal covering parts of high-strength and high-forming 6XXX automotive plate more widely used in the main engine plant, to contribute to the low-carbon, environmental protection and high-quality development of the automotive industry.
