Australia postponed the release of the basic facts report and final recommendations of the third double reverse sunset review of aluminum profiles in China

On February 24, 2025, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Notice No. 2025/012, which said that the basic facts report and final recommendations of the third anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation of Aluminium Extrusions imported from China were postponed. The Australia Commission is expected to issue its basic Facts report no later than 16 July 2025 and make its final recommendations to the Australian Minister for Industry and Technology no later than 8 September 2025.
On June 24, 2009, Australia launched an anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigation into imports of aluminium profiles from China. On 28 October 2010, Australia made a positive final ruling on the case.
On April 24, 2015, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Notice No. 2015/48, initiating the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation on aluminum profiles imported from China. On 20 October 2015, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Notice No. 2015/125, making a positive final ruling on the case. On February 13, 2020, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Notice No. 2020/017, which said that the second anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation was launched on aluminum profiles imported from China. On 12 October 2020, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Notice No. 2020/103, making a positive final ruling on the case. On November 8, 2024, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Notice No. 2024/085, which said that in response to the application submitted by Capral Limited, an Australian domestic enterprise, launched the third anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation on aluminum profiles imported from China. The dumping investigation period of the case is from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024, and the injury investigation period is from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2024. The Australian Customs codes of the products involved are 7604.10.00.06, 7604.21.00.07, 7604.21.00.08, 7604.29.00.09, 7608.10.00.09, 7608.20.00.10, 7610.10. 00.12 and 7610.90.00.13
