Recently, Yuefeng Aluminum Materials Application Research Institute Co., Ltd. jointly developed four new alloy grades, namely 8A63, 7B36, 5R24 and 5A86, with Yuefeng Technology, Yuefeng Aluminum Coil and Yuefeng Aluminum Processing, all under Chinalco High-End. These grades have successfully passed the review of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Nonferrous Metals and were awarded certificates. The alloy grades registered this time include high-end aluminum alloy products for aerospace, new energy, 3C electronics, green recycling and other fields. This marks a breakthrough in the original development of high-end aluminum alloy materials by the Yuefeng Aluminum Materials Research Institute, highlighting the powerful momentum released by the collaborative innovation between the institute and enterprises and the deep integration of industry, academia and research. It adds an important support for the independent control of key materials in China's non-ferrous metal industry.
The four new alloy grades approved this time precisely match the core demands of the high-end manufacturing field, achieving a precise connection between performance breakthroughs and scene applications. Among them, 8A63 aluminum alloy achieves a good combination of high strength and high formability, breaking through the key material bottleneck problems in fields such as new energy batteries and low-temperature shielding, providing a reliable guarantee for product upgrades. The aluminum-plastic film composite aluminum foil and low-temperature shielding layer aluminum coil products developed based on this alloy have achieved mass production and market sales. 7B36 aluminum alloy has core advantages such as low quenching sensitivity and excellent processing performance. The thick plates, bars and tubes prepared from it have good strength, toughness and corrosion resistance, and have demonstrated remarkable lightweight effects in fields such as aerospace and high-end sports equipment manufacturing. 5R24 aluminum alloy is prepared into a new type of alloy sheet through a low-cost process. On the basis of ensuring medium strength, it achieves a coordinated optimization of damage resistance, welding performance and corrosion resistance. The lightweight effect of structural components such as aviation skin wall panels made from it is remarkable and can be widely applied in low-altitude economic aircraft, etc. 5A86 aluminum alloy, with its comprehensive performance of being lightweight and strong, is suitable for the complex processing requirements of 3C shells. After anodizing, its surface texture is fine and uniform, and the appearance is bright to white. It can precisely meet the technical requirements of the next-generation tablet computer shells for drop resistance, lightweight and aesthetics, injecting new impetus into the high-end upgrade of 3C shells.
