In April 2025, the global supply of primary aluminium was in excess by 226,300 tons

On June 18th, the latest report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) showed that in April 2025, global primary aluminum production was 6.0912 million tons, while consumption was 5.8649 million tons, resulting in a supply surplus of 226,300 tons. From January to April 2025, the global output of primary aluminium was 24.2523 million tons, while the consumption was 23.2412 million tons, resulting in a supply surplus of 1.0111 million tons.
