The production base of Yuefeng Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. located in Jiangsu Province, China, has passed the ASI performance standard V3.1 (2023) certification. The certification scope covers the production business of aluminum alloy profiles for shower enclosures and enclosure structures, including key process links such as smelting, casting, extrusion, polishing, cleaning, pickling and oxidation, and spraying.
The Aluminium Management Initiative (ASI) announced on June 11 that Yuefeng Aluminium Co., Ltd. has obtained the ASI Performance Standard V3.1 (2023) certification. The annual output of this production base is approximately 8,000 tons of aluminum alloy profiles, including glossy and oxidized colored profiles. Its production process includes procedures such as extrusion, polishing, oxidation, waste recycling and smelting. This certification mainly targets the business related to the special aluminum alloy profiles for shower enclosures and enclosure structures produced by this base.
The ASI certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainable development standard initiative in the aluminum value chain. After years of revision, the ASI Performance Standard V3(2022) was launched in May 2022. Under the three pillars of sustainable development - environment, society and governance, 11 principles and 62 guidelines have been defined, aiming to address pressing sustainable development issues in the aluminum value chain, such as biodiversity, indigenous rights, circularity and greenhouse gas emissions. In 2023, the relevant standard documents were updated after minor improvements to the performance standard V3.1 (2023) and the Chain of Custody standard V2.1 (2023), mainly involving text editing, error correction and content clarification.
The independent third-party audit of Yuefeng Aluminium Industry Co., Ltd. was completed by Shanghai Linxin Certification Service Co., LTD. Page 5 of the summary audit report provides a complete list of the audit results, outlining the evidence for conformance items and minor non-conformities. During the validity period of the certification, Yuefeng Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. will implement a rectification action plan and verify it through subsequent audits.
