The latest report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) shows that in August 2025, global primary aluminum production was 6.1345 million tons, consumption was 6.2399 million tons, and there was a supply shortage of 105,400 tons. From January to August 2025, the global output of primary aluminium was 48.5026 million tons, while the consumption was 49.6613 million tons, resulting in a supply shortage of 1.1587 million tons. In August 2025, the global output of alumina was 12.8906 million tons. From January to August 2025, the global output of alumina was 99.465 million tons.
