India imported 420,000 tons of scrap aluminum in the first quarter, a slight increase of 0.34% year-on-year

According to foreign media reports, in the first quarter of 2025, India imported 420,000 tons of scrap aluminum, an increase of 0.34% year-on-year.
Among them, 45,661 tons of scrap aluminum were imported from the United Arab Emirates, an increase of 20.37% year-on-year. The import volume in the same period last year was 37,931 tons. 41,288 tons of scrap aluminum were imported from Saudi Arabia, up 37% year-on-year. The import volume in the same period last year was 30,136 tons. 37,302 tons of scrap aluminum were imported from the UK, up 27.37% year-on-year. The import volume in the same period last year was 29,285 tons.
