On July 23rd, with the approval of the Anhui Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, the Anhui Magnesium and Aluminum Alloy Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center was officially established. It will focus on the development needs of the new materials industry throughout Chizhou City, and mainly carry out quality inspection, scientific research breakthroughs, and standard formulation and revision of magnesium and aluminum alloy products, providing strong technical support for the high-quality development of the magnesium-based and aluminum-based industries in the city.
Build the inspection and testing platform to high standards. Relying on the Chizhou Quality Supervision and Inspection Research Institute as the parent unit, a professional laboratory covering an area of approximately 3,200 square meters has been established, equipped with 153 sets of high-precision testing equipment such as direct reading spectrometers, atomic absorption spectrometers, and metallographic microscopes. It has the inspection capabilities for four major categories of magnesium and aluminum alloy products, including magnesium and aluminum alloy materials, profiles, bars, tubes, plates, strips, foils, and castings. It can accurately detect 135 key parameters of magnesium-aluminum alloys, including chemical composition, mechanical properties, and film layer performance.
High-level talents empower technological innovation. A professional technical team of 17 people has been formed, with 70.6% holding intermediate or senior professional titles, providing a solid talent guarantee for technological research and development as well as quality inspection. It has been approved to establish the 15th batch of provincial postdoctoral research workstations, and has established in-depth cooperative relations with universities such as Chongqing University and Hefei University of Technology. It does a good job in cultivating high-end talents to enter the stations and provides intellectual support for industrial technological innovation.
The collaboration among industry, academia and research promotes industrial upgrading. We have maintained close cooperation with Chizhou University, Jiangnan Light Alloy Research Institute and magnesium-aluminum alloy product manufacturing and processing enterprises, actively promoting the in-depth integration of industry, academia and research. Up to now, we have initiated 3 provincial and municipal scientific and technological innovation projects, applied for 4 invention patents, and published 7 professional papers. The scientific and technological innovation achievements are remarkable, providing technological support for the high-quality development of the center.
Precise services empower the development of enterprises. Adhering to the construction concept of "building, researching and inspecting simultaneously", we visited over 20 magnesium and aluminum-related enterprises and proactively connected with their demands. We carried out the promotion of the inspection and testing capabilities of the magnesium and aluminum quality inspection center, reached cooperation intentions with 6 enterprises, completed the entrusted inspection of 50 groups of magnesium and aluminum alloy products, and provided technical services such as performance testing and personnel training for 4 enterprises.
