(Jiangsu Fengyuan Aluminium Mstar Technology Co., Ltd.) is 510.24 US dollars/ton, and other Chinese producers/exporters are 976.99 US dollars/ton; Thai producer/exporter Dingheng New Materials Co., Ltd. is 100.07 US dollars/ton, Loften (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is 93.53 US dollars/ton, and other Thai producers/exporters are 339.93 US dollars/ton; Malaysian producer/exporter is 850.45 US dollars/ton; Indonesian producer/exporter is 422.28 US dollars/ton. The Indian customs code for the involved products is 7607.
On June 20, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce of India issued a notice stating that it initiated an anti-dumping investigation on aluminium foil (Aluminium Foil 80 Micron and Below) with a thickness of 80 microns or less, originating from or imported from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, based on the applications submitted by Indian domestic enterprises Hindalco Industries Ltd., Raviraj Foils Ltd., and Jindal India Ltd. On June 18, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce of India made a positive final ruling on this case. On September 16, 2021, the Taxation Department of the Indian Ministry of Finance issued a notice numbered 51/2021-Customs(ADD), deciding to impose an anti-dumping duty for a period of five years on aluminium foil (Aluminium Foil 80 Micron and Below) originating from or imported from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The rates are as follows: China is 398.45 - 976.99 US dollars/ton, Indonesia is 422.28 US dollars/ton, Malaysia is 850.45 US dollars/ton, and Thailand is 93.53 - 339.93 US dollars/ton. The following products are not subject to duty: aluminium foil with a thickness of 5.5 microns to 80 microns, aluminium laminated plates, ultra-lightweight conversion aluminium foil, aluminium foil composite materials, capacitor-use aluminium foil with a width not exceeding 500 millimeters, etched or formed aluminium foil, aluminium plastic boards, coated aluminium foil, beer bottle aluminium foil, aluminium-manganese-silicon alloy and/or coated aluminium-manganese-silicon alloy, aluminium foil tapes, color-coated aluminium foil.
On September 29, 2025, the Ministry of Commerce of India issued a notice stating that, in response to the applications submitted by Indian domestic enterprises Raviraj Foils Ltd., LSKB Aluminium Foils Pvt. Ltd., Hindalco Industries Ltd., Shyam Sel and Power Ltd., Shree Venkateshwara Electrocast Pvt. Ltd., and SRF Altech Ltd., an initial anti-dumping sunset review investigation was initiated against aluminum foils with a thickness of no more than 80 micrometers that were either produced in or imported from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The investigation period for dumping was from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025 (12 months), and the investigation period for damage was from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024, and from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.
