Mexico has terminated its anti-dumping measures on aluminum discs from China

On November 4, 2025, the Ministry of Economy of Mexico issued a notice stating that in view of not receiving the application for sunset review investigation submitted by Mexican producers, it has decided to terminate the anti-dumping measures on aluminum discs (Spanish: discos de aluminio) originating from China as of November 7, 2025. The TIGIE tariff code of the involved products is 7616.99.10. This announcement shall come into effect as of the date of its release.
On August 9, 2019, Mexico initiated an anti-dumping investigation into aluminum discs originated from China. On March 27, 2020, Mexico made a positive preliminary ruling on the case, imposing a provisional anti-dumping duty of 37.88% on the involved products. On November 6, 2020, Mexico made a positive final ruling on the case and officially imposed an anti-dumping duty of 1.17 US dollars per kilogram on the involved products.
