Orissa state's mining plan aims to increase the production capacity of the Kodingamali bauxite mine project.

According to foreign media reports, due to strong market demand, the mining company in Odisha plans to increase the annual production capacity of bauxite at the Kodingamali mine from 3.6 million tons to 6 million tons.
This mine has been in operation for 8 years and spans two districts of Odisha - Koraput and Rayagada. The bauxite produced here is supplied to various industries in the state and forms an important part of Odisha's industrial base.
The company stated that in order to meet the growing industrial demands and strengthen the resource-based economic model of Odisha, the mine is currently undergoing expansion, with its production capacity expected to reach 6 million tons per year.
