Summary of China's Aluminum Industry Chain Import and Export Data in September

The latest data from the General Administration of Customs shows that in September 2025, China exported 520,000 tons of unrolled aluminum and aluminum products, a year-on-year decrease of 7.3%. From January to September, the cumulative export volume was 4.52 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.1%.
In September, China exported 250,000 tons of alumina, up 82.2% year-on-year. From January to September, the cumulative export volume reached 2 million tons, representing a year-on-year growth of 61.8%.
In September, China imported 360,000 tons of unrolled aluminum and aluminum products, up 35.4% year-on-year. From January to September, the cumulative imports reached 3.01 million tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 5.7%.
In September, China imported 15.88 million tons of bauxite and its concentrates, up 38.3% year-on-year. From January to September, a total of 157.31 million tons of bauxite and its concentrates were imported, representing a year-on-year increase of 32.0%.
